Purpose of the Job
To perform telephonic data collection tasks from households in the Gauteng Research Triangle (GRT-Inspired, including Hillbrow, Melusi and Atteridgeville West.)
Key performance areas
- Administer the questionnaire telephonically and simultaneously enter information into the relevant database.
- Ensure daily telephonic data collection targets are met.
- Identify and escalate priority issues.
- Route calls to appropriate resource.
- Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
- Participate in regular and ad hoc training and meetings for data collection.
- Educate research participants on GRT Inspired research activities.
- Conduct any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Required minimum education and training
- Grade 12
- Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
- Fieldwork or call centre work experience will be an advantage.
- Good voice projection.
- Good data capturing and typing skills.
- Empathy with the respondent is vital.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required minimum work experience
- Minimum 1-year experience as fieldworker or call centre agent.
