Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Heavy Duty Vehicle Driver for the WCDH, your day-to-day operational outputs will include:
- Transportation: Transporting goods, services, and personnel from one point to another, including the transport of staff to and from various destinations in the Western Cape.
- Maintenance and Logs: Conducting routine maintenance, inspecting vehicles, providing timeous reporting of defects, and ensuring accurate, detailed completion of Logbooks.
- Compliance: Adhering strictly to departmental codes and procedures.
- Vehicle Care: Ensuring that all vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
- Team Support: Relieving staff within the component when required.
