​Key Duties and Responsibilities

​As a Heavy Duty Vehicle Driver for the WCDH, your day-to-day operational outputs will include:

  • Transportation: Transporting goods, services, and personnel from one point to another, including the transport of staff to and from various destinations in the Western Cape.
  • Maintenance and Logs: Conducting routine maintenance, inspecting vehicles, providing timeous reporting of defects, and ensuring accurate, detailed completion of Logbooks.
  • Compliance: Adhering strictly to departmental codes and procedures.
  • Vehicle Care: Ensuring that all vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
  • Team Support: Relieving staff within the component when required.
