Key Performance Areas (Job Responsibilities)
The successful candidate will work closely with phase and class teachers to ensure the effective daily running of the classroom. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with phase and class teachers to support the overall management of the grade.
- Helping to create and maintain a positive, structured, and educational classroom environment that fosters teaching and learning.
- Assisting with the planning, preparation, and delivery of various learning activities under the direct guidance of the lead teacher.
- Supporting learner behavior management in strict alignment with school policies and classroom routines.
- Taking full responsibility for the proper use, care, and safekeeping of school equipment, resources, and stock assigned to the class.
- Assisting with the organization, supervision, and promotion of school sports and cultural activities.
- Providing administrative, co-curricular, and sports support to the school as needed.
- Handling general classroom administrative tasks, including preparing teaching materials, basic record-keeping, and communicating with learners where appropriate.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Currently studying towards a B.Ed Foundation Phase degree.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar educational position.
- Background Check: A clear criminal record is strictly required.
