Purpose of the Job
The successful candidates will be deployed within the Condensed Milk Tin Packaging Department. The primary objective of this role is to carry out everyday operational duties to keep the production and packaging lines moving safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
As part of the Production team, you will be handling essential physical tasks that ensure Clover’s high-quality dairy products are packaged securely and prepared for nationwide distribution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
General Workers at Clover are responsible for an array of operational tasks. Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Packaging and Shrink-Wrapping: Securing finished products using industrial shrink-wrapping machinery according to specifications.
- Product Quality Control: Sorting through items and identifying/removing damaged products from the line to ensure only top-tier goods reach consumers.
- Loading and Offloading: Manually moving, loading, and stacking materials, packaging components, and finished inventory safely.
- Maintaining Housekeeping Standards: Keeping the production floor, machinery workspace, and packaging areas neat, tidy, and free of hazards.
- SOP Compliance: Completing all basic operational tasks in strict accordance with the company’s established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Health & Safety Regulations: Adhering strictly to standard food production hygiene regulations and occupational health and safety laws.
- Ad-Hoc Assignments: Executing any other general or manual tasks requested by management or production supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for consideration for this vacancy, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Business English (both written and spoken) is required for safety protocols and workplace communication.
- Working Conditions: Ability and resilience to work in extreme conditions common within industrial food manufacturing environments.
- Flexibility: Willingness and capability to work varying work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as production schedules demand.
