The Directorate of Logistical Service at the Department of Transport Services has 4 permanent position of Drivers based at Pretoria Campus.
Critical Performance Areas
- Driving: Transporting students and staff members for academic purposes.
- Pre-Trip vehicle inspection
- Report accidents to Transport Officer
- Quality Client Service: Client Orientation
- Ensure Good Communication to the passengers
- Ensure Safe Driving
- Reporting all defects e.g. breakage, maintenance and incidents.
- Adherence to the Road Traffic rules and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
Academic Qualifications
- Basic Literacy (ABET)/Grade 09
Experience (minimum)
- Two (2) years` relevant experience
Professional registration
- Drivers Licence code EC. (code 14) Plus PDp (Public Driving permit)
Knowledge and Skills
- Current road and traffic rules and regulations (NB: Public driving requirements)
- Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance
- Customer care
- Good communication
- Basic mechanical knowledge to do “minor on-the-spot-break-down”
