WE OFFER
The forklift driver is responsible for operating a power-driven mobile hoist or fork-lift truck with a lifting capacity not exceeding 6 000 kg used in the loading, unloading, moving, or stacking of goods or containers.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Hoist Operation: Operate mobile hoisting equipment to lift, move, and position loads as required. Ensure accurate and safe cargo handling, avoiding damage to goods and equipment. Perform pre-operational checks and routine inspections of hoisting equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Comply with NBCRFLI regulations and industry standards. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor. Load Management: Load Management: Meticulously assess the weight and size of loads to determine the most suitable lifting techniques and equipment.
Properly secure loads to guarantee stability during transportation. Keep detailed records of all loads lifted, including weight, type, and destination. Equipment Maintenance: Equipment Maintenance: Regularly conduct maintenance and minor repairs on hoisting equipment to ensure it operates at its best. Promptly report any major mechanical issues to the maintenance team for immediate resolution. Keep the hoisting equipment clean and in top working condition.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients to understand job requirements and expectations. Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Valid certification or license to operate mobile hoisting equipment as per NBCRFLI regulations.
- Experience working as a forklift driver
- Safety training and certifications in material handling and lifting operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willing to work long hours and commitment to achieving operational outcomes.
