Key Responsibilities and Duties

As a Sales Clerk (Retail), your responsibilities will include assisting customers and ensuring that all sales and stock-related activities are carried out efficiently. Key performance areas include providing professional service to walk-in clients, ensuring customers are informed about additional products to increase sales opportunities, and maintaining accurate stock records.

You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, placing stock orders through suppliers or procurement channels, and receiving stock from the receiving department while ensuring correct quantities and pricing. The role also requires conducting daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent losses.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)

Minimum Work Experience
At least 1 year of experience in a direct sales or retail sales environment

Technical Knowledge and Skills
